Description
As the name suggests, this variety is named by its unique characteristics of green-maroon deep curly leaves and its big scruffy head full of them. Originally born from Persia travelled with the first trading channels to the new world and the rest is history. Slow to bolt but reached maturity in about 45 -50 days. Lettuce should not be absent from any garden and “Lettuce Prizeleaf” is one of the best varieties you can have.
Culinary uses
Eat it in your salad with a lemon dressing, or use in your sandwiches. Low calorie vegetable here, so great ingredient for salads.
