Name & History
Another great heirloom that you should have in your garden. Also known as ” Blue coco” and “magic bean” this climbing bean is favorite for many gardeners.
Description
It can climb up to 2m so you better provide it with good support from the start. It produces high yields when the weather is warm, and it lasts until March. The yields tha it produces are long, flat purple beans that turn green once cooked.

Cultivation tips
- Start when temperature is above 65F – 15C
- Sowing depth 1 Inch – 2.5 cm.
- Keep it moist but do not overwater it or else it will rot.
- Old mulch will help the plant grow. Avoid fresh mulch.
- In case of extreme heat, water the plant more during the morning hours.
- Harvest green beans when 50% of the beans are 3 – 4 sieve.
