Description
Created and designed from Vilmorin-Andrieux in the city of Nantes France at mid 1800s. This variety is one of the premium carrot vegetables today. This carrot is so tender that it doesn’t need peeling at all. Just shrub it with your hand and eat it like this. The are numerous (40) varieties of the same Nantes family but this particular , as the name suggest, produces longer roots. Its flesh is deep orange and almost core-free. Like all carrots ,they are rich in vitamin C ,A, K. It benefits the skin and protects it and its also beneficial for your eyes.
Culinary uses
Use it like all Daucus carota sprecies in your dishes and your salads. Nantes carrots are famous for its sweet taste and its tender texture, so enjoy them raw also.
