Name & History
A wonderful heirloom from France here, first recorded at Monticello. Thomas Jefferson brought the seeds with him after one of his journeys to Paris. He then grew them for 60 years, starting 1794 and noted them in his garden book.
Description
Lettuce white paris produces long crispy leaves wider at the top and tighter in its base its sweet flavour is second to none and makes suitable for kids and adults as well. Slow to bolt and resistant to leaf edge burning, Lettuce white paris is a safe and rewarding variety to grow.
Culinary uses
Its sweet flavor makes it ideal for Caesar salads and sandwiches.

- Start early, like most lettuces Lettuce Paris White grows best in cool temperatures.
